Through her fine art practice, Brittany Lane hopes to capture the sentience and inner lives of creatures, some real... some imagined.

Her chosen medium is chalk pastel which she applies to

large-scale custom made blackboards. This dusty medium requires a skilled hand and tremendous patience to apply,

but lends itself well to the natural textures she aims

to capture in her pieces.
